The Lakes Resort was exactly waht we were looking for. Perfect for family holidays. Great friendly staffs who would go out of their way to help us. The place itself was beautifully kept which created a nice atmosphere day and night.

Facilities good in everything except internet access which was just not worthy of this level of accommodation.Unreliable access in a noisy bar was all that was available and had to be bought in blocks of time which had to be used all at once. you could not log on for an hour each night if you bought 24hrs of time, you had to use it within the 24hr time frame from the time you purchased it. The network appeared to be unsecured which is no good for people on business trips or who have to continue to work while on vacation or at a convention. Staff had no idea how to fix connnection problems although they tried their best to be helpful but it was obvious they had had little or no training or instruction.Often hours purchased could not be used as the server connection was faulty and after trying numerous times to connect I had to complain and be given another connection access number. Unfortunately it let down the rest of the excellent facilities to the point that I would not stay there again unless this problem were addressed. Resort needs to realise that people these days dont just check family emails, they actually work and bank over the internet and need to do so even when on vacation.

the \" lakes \" was a high quality place to stay. only problem was it was to far out of town to really enjoy all cairns has to offer. We also had issues wth the quality of service from the airport transfers

Entire complex was very clean and rooms were well appointed.
Would have liked a later shuttle bus back from Cairns but service otherwise was great.
