Good value for money with cooking facilities etc. Only problem was they put two single beds together to make up our king bed which was very uncomfortable.

Rooms were nicely appointed. Everything was done through the credit card and this was very good, not having to handle cash all the time. Sometimes the queues at front desk were tiresome, but the girls were very good when it came to sorting out tours etc.
Did feel unsafe after dark in the area, and there were quite a few noisy guests at one stage who were quite antisocial. Pools were a great delight given the weather conditions. These were well kept and lovely to use. Felt safe in these even at night.
Coming home I needed to leave the complex at 3.00 am to catch flight. Night watchman got up for me and helped me down with the bags. He did this voluntarily and was happy to oblige. I wished this complex was in a lighter area so that we could feel safe going out after dark.

Great location - 2 mins walk to Cairns Central Shopping Centre and 10-15mins stroll to town centre.

Rooms great; value for money.

Only gripe - our room faced Office Works car park and dumpster bin. Very noisy from 8am in the morning until cob.

Hint: Request a room away from block 12 would be my advice.

The Southern Cross Atrium apartments was in a fantastic locality to Cairns Central Shopping area and within walking distance to the Reef Terminal. Accommodation was very comfortable and the hotel amenities, gym, bbq areas (very clean)and pool areas very picturesque and quiet. We stayed in a ground floor Studio Apartment which was pool side & thoroughly enjoyed being able to step out to the pool & BBQ areas. We thought South Cross Atrium Apartments were great and would highly recommend accommodation especially for those on a budget!

Studio apartment is clean and well equipped, will be better if microwave comes with conventional function, and if washing machine is included. Was quiet at night except for the last night when we were there. Neighbours were very noisy and our apartment was next to the spa pool. There were noise even at 1.00 am. Location was very good, next to shopping centre, but a little far walk, about 15 minutes, to the beach. No comment on service as there was no housekeeping provided even our stay was 5 nights.

This was perfect for our family of 4 (one bedroom deluxe), loved having the kitchen. and a little extra room. Great location next to the mall, and within in walking distance from the lagoon and the heart of Cairns but also set back a bit and quiet. Great for families. Just a few minor downfalls, had to pay for internet, local calls, and little extras like dish and laundry soap. Overall we really liked it and would probably stay there again if we returned to Cairns.

We had a 1 bedroom apartment. Booking was a little difficult thru SCA so we tried the help of Travstar it became easy. Emma was brilliant to deal with, very easy. Would recommend them for help when you visiting Cairns. The complex - Fantastic! Well equipped, clean, tidy, overall just great facilities. Would stay there again for sure next time in Cairns!! Just do it!

Suited our needs well; after a busy day room service with evening meals was the best- relaxing on balcony as the spa/pool were too cold to swim after dark in winter. For us to return one pool/spa area would need to be heated.

The apartments were great, good size, modern and clean and we loved how central they were in Cairns, we walked everywhere we needed to. Only 2 things to mention, I dont know how much they charged for breakfast but we were a little disappointed that all we were given was toast and some cereal and also it seemed the aircon in our room maybe wasnt working to the best of its ability. Overall we were extemely happy with the accommodation and the amenities provided.

My husband and I had a wonderful trip to Cairns. This is mostly due to the efficiency of the staff at Southern Cross Atrium. Their customer service was excellant. We wanted for nothing. All our tours were booked for us as well as a 2 day car hire. Even when it was time to leave they printed our boarding passes for us so that we could enjoy a day of travelling in our rented car. The studio room that we rented was perfect for our needs. I would recommend it to all my family, friends and workmates.

everything went really well, except I forgot to mention that we were not spring chickens and there were 3 flights of stairs, 1st lot 16 then 2 x 8 steps, in the dark juggling a walking stick and ports, but we managed, plus it was also raining, found out when we were leavinig we could have changed to a downstairs studio, but never mind, we enjoyed ourselves and we will go back next year, and stay at the Southern Cross and will use your company for the bookings, am just a little older and wiser now.

It was nice staying at Southern Cross except that our room is at the back of office works and very early in the morning they have deliveries so it was noisy. Other than that it was good and we will book again with them next time we visit Cairns. Very convenient because we were so close to the shops and the staff are nice too.

After reading some of the other comments I was a bit apprehensive about Southern Cross Atrium Apartments afetr having bad experiences at other places. When we first arrived we were welcomed by the reception staff. Everybody was friendly and happy. When we got to our room we were amazed - What an awesome place.It was clean, tidy, well set out etc. I would recommend this place to anyone. it was well worth the price we paid and would definately go back their again. We grabbed some business cards and brochures and have been giving them out to people that we think would enjoy the experience as much as we did. Thank you to the staff of Southern Cross Atrium Apartments.You get an A++++++ from us.
