A lovely clean hotel, with a homely feel, about 10mins walk from the Esplanade and all the restaurants. The pool is small but modelled on a rock-pool. The cooking and laundry facilities are useful. The free internet access is a godsend. This is a really excellent place to stay, and a real bargain for the price.

Enjoyed our stay at the Balinese - Room/bathroom with plenty of room. However washing clothing was a problem, machine provided however there are no facilities for hanging out same. I asked about a clothes rack but no nothing available. A dryer is provided but not all clothes can be dried in a machine.

Our experience in Cairns was absolutely lovely.My husband and I liked the hotel for it's convenient location and the overall guest-friendliness.The room was nice and spacious, airport pick-up really convenient, and the boat tour to the GBR with Ocean Spirit truly spectacular.
And surely Travstar staff were really helpful when booking.

Staff were very helpful for suggesting non-standard sightseeing as well as the normal day trips.
Pool was lovely.
Breakfast was a bit dull - some fresh fruit would have been a welcome addition
