THE QUARTERS GUESTHOUSE is located in the township of Babinda,  Tropical North Queensland.  Just a 40 minute drive south of Cairns.

This small Australian town features an original picture theatre, local Aussie pub and very popular bakery.  There is a full size public swimming pool with lanes open Monday to Friday in Summer.  Babinda has been a winner of the wetest town in Australia in recent years and features magnificent swimming holdes and famous local waterfalls.

    The building is a local heritage landmark.  It has been thoughtfully renovated recently to become a fifteen room Art Deco Guest house.

    WATERWALLS & WALKS  

    Babinda Boulders is a very popular swimming hole. 

    Josephine Falls features a magnificent three tier waterfall with viewing platforms.  Swimming opportunities include a natural rock slide into exhilerating cool rainforest waters.  Perfect also for lying about on a large boulder with the sounds of the water all around. 

    Golden Hole is another natural swimming hole nearby. 

    For very adventurous, well-prepared  bushwalkers this area also boasts Queensland's highest mountain, Mt Bartle Frere.  It is possible to walk up to Broken Nose and back relatively easily in one day.  And, to Bartle Frere with a little more difficulty in one day.  There are many more opportunities for active people in this area.

    Doctors Quarters: 
      
    This is a studio one bedroom apartment.  In the round room is a King size bed and kitchenette.  The entry room has a lounge and dining setting and a private original bathroom.  A small balcony overlooks the creek and surrounding rainforest.  Perfect for a quiet weekend away.

    Shared Facility Rooms:    
    Single and double shared facility rooms have the option of two original shower blocks including a bathtub, and a kitchen,  T.V. room, and common dining room.  The stunning view from the upper balcony is a big attraction. 

    Ensuite Rooms:    
    Each room has a private shower and toilet in the bedroom.  Romantic d├ęcor and bushland views create a restful atmosphere.

    Room facilities:     
    Wi-Fi, hair dryer, jug & toaster.  Use of kitchen.

    The Quarters Guest house upper and lower verandah  face to the east enjoying beautiful early morning sunrise and vistas.

    Within the main art deco lounge is a baby grand Piano and musically inclined visitors are encouraged.  Regular musical entertainment with house band.  

    The First floor South Wings main entry stairway opens up to elevated spacious views from the large wrap around veranda, featuring lush expansive vistas across the Babinda village to the East and Southern hinterlands .

    At the rear, guesthouse grounds afford lush green tropical growth, off street out door car parking, BBQ, and seating.

    Top floor South Wing and Eastern facade is given over to a wrap-around veranda with panoramic views to the East and Southern hinterlands.
