We spent 2 separate nites here .one being a weekday nite and our experience was wonderful. Our other nite being a Sat nite and it was very noisey , so after paying good money for the nite and being kept awake half of it ..not too happy !!!!However they gave us a free breakie to make up for it ...Apparently this happens on weekends , so maybe people need to be informed of the noise before booking ...

Location outstanding. We really enjoyed the facilities especially the gym and the upgrade to the Horizon Club was the best decision of the holiday. The staff were outstandingly helpful, including the tour desk in the foyer.

My room was upgrade to a Deluxe ocean view. It was really beautiful. The front desk check in was fast and friendly. room service was Excellent/ clean and neat. room service was no comment at all. We love this hotel and will definite recommend my client and friends to this beautiful.

Beautiful place to stay - we were given an upgrade to a Marina Room - lovely view across the bay and harbour. All restaurants underneath the hotel made dining out in terrible weather very easy. Only a short walk into the town.

Great hotel. Very friendly staff. Professional. Cleaning crew were exceptionally good. Had a nicely prepared room everyday without fail. Breakfast Buffet was excellent. And the view from the room was to die for!

Absolutely the most well situated hotel to stay; facilities fabulous and Cairns was amazing for my 23 year old daughter and myself 49 we had a ball. Definitely going back and taking anyone who will listen. We embraced everything Cairns had to offer. Came home for a holiday.

The shangri la service was second to none. They really looked after us. We have a two year old and i would recomend this hotel to any family. The next time we are in Cairns we are staying there!
