Day One: Cape Trib & Daintree Discovery

Enjoy the ultimate rainforest experience - explore both the rainforest floor and make an easy ascent into the Daintree rainforest canopy to view World Heritage Listed Rainforest at its best!

Tropical Horizons experienced naturalist guide will provide interpretation of this ancient rainforest area and also included is an exclusive, private rainforest walk along all-weather boardwalks, and also at canopy, level where unsurpassable rainforest viewing may be experienced - a naturalist's paradise and photographer's dream!

The Daintree Discovery Centre Rainforest Aerial Walkway and Canopy Tower allows people of all ages easy access to every part of the rainforest. Up amongst the canopy, observe the diversity of plants and wildlife living in this unique environment.

Arrive at Ferntree Resort for a tasty A La Carte lunch at the Cassowary Cafe and time for a swim in the resort pool. Stroll along idyllic Cape Tribulation Beach to the lookout and observe where two of the world's natural wonders converge - the rainforest gives way to white sand and fringing coral reef!

Cruise the mighty Daintree River spotting for wildlife and saltwater crocodiles, inhabitants of the mangrove-lined riverbanks. Following afternoon tea depart the Daintree Valley and return you to your accommodation with wonderful memories of this unique and precious wilderness area.

Day Two: Ocean Spirit Reef Cruise

Ocean Spirit Oyster Reef & Upolu Reef cruise offers two beautiful destinations in one day.

Oyster Reef is your first destination and it is exclusively yours to explore. The reef is clear, shallow and abundant with marine life, offering both snorkellers and divers protected waters in which to experience the true wonders of the Great Barrier Reef. 

Be as active or relaxed as you like - try your first ever scuba dive, or for the certified diver, enjoy being guided by our qualified instructors on some of the best dive sites on the reef.

Your second destination is another stunner, Upolu Reef is just magical with Moray Eels to check out, Giant Clams, Turtles and if your really lucky prehaps a reef shark.

Never Scuba Dived before, thought you might like to try it but don't have a licence? Well here is your opportunity...

Let Ocean Spirit's experienced PADI instructors show you how easy Scuba diving can be. Discover the wonders of the underwater world with an introduction to basic diving skills followed by a tour of the Great Barrier Reef. After your first scuba dive you'll receive a PADI Certificate of Recognition & memories to last a lifetime.

Day Three: Kuranda Train & Skyrail

Enjoy a spectacular scenic journey to Kuranda, combining the Kuranda Scenic Rail and the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway.

Transfer from your accommodation to the Kuranda Scenic Train for a spectacular journey offering views of World Heritage Listed rainforest, steep ravines and picturesque waterfalls within the Barron Gorge National Park. This famous railway winds its way from Cairns to Kuranda.

Kuranda Village is a quaint little township in the rainforest, situated where both Skyrail and the Kuranda Scenic Train journeys terminate.

Kuranda Village is famous for arts and crafts and indigenous artifacts and the excellent attractions of the Butterfly Sanctuary, Koala Gardens, Birdworld and the Aviary. You can purchase a Kuranda Wildlife Experience Pass, which will give you access to all three attracions at a great saving off the normal admission price.

The original Kuranda markets are held Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Heritage Markets open daily. At your chosen time of 1:30pm or 3:00pm board the Kuranda Scenic Train for your return journey. 

You will journey along the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway which spans 7.5kms over pristine rainforest.

Gliding just metres above the rainforest canopy in comfortable six-person gondola cabins, the Skyrail journey will immerse you in an intimate rainforest experience. Enjoy the stunning rainforest scenery, panoramic views of the Cairns’ tropical region and the glittering waters of the Coral Sea.

During your Skyrail journey you will have time to explore two on the rainforest mid-stations - Red Peak and Barron Falls, where you can explore the forest floor on boardwalks, view the scenic look-outs and spend time in the state-of-the-art Rainforest Interpretive Centre.

Your coach will meet you at the base of the Skyrail Terminal for your return transfer to your accommodation.

Day Four: Tablelands, Waterfalls & Mamu

Enjoy the spectacular Eco-certified scenic Tablelands Tour viewing Lake Barrine, the Curtain Fig Tree, Waterfalls Circuit, World Heritage Rainforests, Paronella Park and Australian wildlife.

Departing the Cairns' coast, your tour ascends the mighty Lamb Range providing panoramic views of the Mulgrave River Valley from Heale's Lookout. The high elevation Southern Tablelands rainforests are vastly different to coastal rainforest surrounding Cairns and support a wide variety of wildlife, many being unique to the Tablelands.

Enjoy freshly baked scones and morning tea before boarding the first morning cruise on the calm waters of the extinct volcanic crater, Lake Barrine. Be the first cruise in the morning to view the Lake's abundant wildlife and marvel at the vibrant, old growth World Heritage listed rainforest surrounding Lake Barrine whose deep waters are filled by crystal clear rainwater. Back on land a short walk reveals the Twin Kauri Pine Trees - amongst Australia's largest trees, these 1000 year old forest giants are relics of the past.

Your experienced Cairns tours driver/guide will escort you along boardwalks to the ancient Giant Curtain Fig Tree - an amazing accomplishment of nature! The surrounding forest is also home to the elusive and shy Lumholz Tree Kangaroos.

Then commence a tour of the Waterfalls Circuit . Each of the waterfalls is unique and is viewed from a different aspect. All waterfalls flow in abundance all year round!

Commencing with world-famous Millaa Millaa Falls (featured in many commercial television advertisements and films where a quick swim is possible) and then drive along quaint country farming roads and rich dairying pastures. Relax and enjoy the serenity whilst enjoying an excellent two course lunch, which is served outdoors in a private gazebo situated atop of Mungalli Falls, which are the Tableland's tallest falls.

After lunch we arrive at the Ma Mu Rainforest Canopy Walkway and Tower. From the canopy walk you will take in the enormity of this majestic landscape including the North Johnstone River. Stand high in the rainforest with both spectacular viewing platforms and tower canopy views of the remote wilderness.

Descending the range, you arrive at multi award wining Paronella Park where you will be escorted by the park's knowledgeable guide. Commencing with a private, leisurely tour of the National Trust listed Heritage gardens and castle ruins. There is free time to view the museum and the remains of North Queensland's first hydro-electric plant which Jose Paronella built on the beautiful Mena Creek - feed the fish and the turtles below the Falls.

Your tour concludes with a scenic drive home passing Mt Bellenden Ker and Mt Bartle Frere two of Queensland highest mountains
