Tropical & enchanting Green Island is a beautiful Coral Cay located just 1 hour off the coast of Cairns.  Covered in Tropical Rainforest, surrounded by sandy white beaches and beautiful Coral Reefs, makes Green Island the ideal place to snorkel, swim or simply relax.

 Discover the fascinating underwater world among the coral reefs surrounding Green Island where you will see an endless variety of incredible marine creatures.  Other fun, affordable activities include Parasailing, Marineland Melanesia, Beach Hire, Rainforest Boardwalk and Underwater Observatory.

"Big Cat" is a comfortable air-conditioned 35 metre catamaran with spacious, luxurious interior cabins and a relaxed atmosphere. "Big Cat" departs Cairns daily at 9:00am and returns at 5:00pm. 

"Reef Rocket" offers Half day options.  Departs at 9:00am, 11:00am or 1:00pm, allowing 2 or 4 hours on Green Island.  Reef Rocket returns at 1:00pm or 5:00pm

Full Day - Departs Cairns at 09:00am OR 11:00am and returns at 5:00pm

A Hot / Cold buffet lunch is available for full day passengers and is served on board daily, 11.30am – 1.00pm.

Semi Submarine:
Explorer the underwater world of the Great Barrier Reef in air-conditioned comfort on our Semi-Submarine… without even getting wet!   Seated below water level, passengers are treated to a divers view of the coral reef and marine life with informative commentary by the crew and see the lively fish feeding. This vessel seats 27 passengers and cruises for 30 minutes. 

Scuba Diving
No experience is necessary to take a fully supervised introductory dive and explore the Great Barrier Reef and its amazing marine life. Certified divers can enjoy spectacular dives at our specially selected sites. Age and medical restrictions may apply to diving. Minimum 12yrs old

Seawalker Helmet Dive
Seawalker at Green Island is quick, easy, and there’s no need to learn how to use complicated equipment. No experience is needed, and because you WALK on the smooth, clean sand of the sea floor, it’s perfect for non-swimmers or anyone else who might not be confident in water! It’s quick – 45 to 60 minutes from start of guest briefing until finished and back on dry land. It’s easy – no new skills to learn, no swimming, no equipment to manipulate or get in the way. It’s safe – our guides are always in the water beside you to ensure it is great for non swimmers or anyone else who is not confident. It’s low stress – no complicated equipment to use, no water on your face (you can wear glasses or contacts), your makeup stays on and your hair stays dry!  Minimum 12yrs old

FREE Family Fun
Green Island is an excellent family friendly destination.  Big Cat has designed a special family program for kids between 4 and 14yrs inclusive that includes:

• Free soft drink for kids at lunch
• Cool Cruising membership to the Turtle Rescue Club
• Cool Cat colouring in sheet
