Experience Fitzroy Island's newest addition, Fitzroy Island Dive Centre.  The centre offers certified and introductory dives, snorkelling and glass bottom boat tours. Fitzroy Island Dive Centre is open to all visitors to the island, including resort guests.

Certified Diving 

Certified divers have the option to book a guided dive or hire full gear for unguided diving. Guided dive rates include full gear hire and a dive professional to show you all the great spots around Fitzroy Island. If you prefer to dive with a buddy, you can hire a full set of scuba gear including mask, fins, snorkel, computer, BCD, tanks and weights. Tank refills are available if you feel like doing multiple dives.

Introductory Diving 

Never tried Scuba before? It's easier than snorkelling! Fitzroy Island Dive Centre offers guided introductory dives for first time divers. Included in this rate are all dive equipment and professional dive guide. Intro divers also have the option to try out a FREE discover scuba lesson in the resort pool before taking on ocean dives.

Feeling adventurous? Why not try out an introductory or certified night dive, available through Fitzroy Dive Centre.

Snorkelling

Fitzroy Island Dive doesn't just cater for divers, you can hire a full set of snorkel gear as well! The centre offers mask, fins, snorkel set, wetsuits and stinger suits for all!

Glass Bottom Boat
10am departure is a wet tour.  45 minutes on the Glass Bottom Boat and 45 minutes snorkelling including snorkelling gear, at a secluded area that is unable to be accessed from the beach. 
3pm departure is a 45 minute Glass Bottom Boat tour only.  Suitable for non-swimmers and families with young children. 

Additional Costs:

  • Return ferry transfers from Cairns
  • Souvenirs, lunch, snacks etc.

What to bring:

  • Swimmers, towel and sunscreen
  • Change of clothes
  • Cash for lunch or snacks

Please Note: Certain medical conditions may preclude people from participating in an Intro Dive, unless they have had a Dive Medical Exam ahead of time and receive a “Fit to Dive” certificate.  One common condition is asthma (and the person just has to have it in his/her history, not necessarily currently or recently suffering from it).  Please note that overseas dive medicals or diver fitness certificates CANNOT be accepted unless the assessment certificate clearly and specifically states that the Dive Medical was carried out to the Australian Standard AS4005.1. The minimum age for diving is 12 years.
