What makes it Great?
Enjoy morning tea and coffee whilst learning about the wonders of the reef, as Sunlovers Specialised Reef Naturalists present an informative talk. This is a great opportunity to learn about the wonders you are about to see, and with some extra knowledge appreciate just how incredible the reef really is.
Take a guided snorkel expedition or simply explore the reef by yourself, under the watchful eyes of the trained lifeguards. Sunlover Cruises snorkeling area is fully enclosed for your safety, with rest and view stations.
Small children can also enjoy the safety of an enclosed pool area. The kids can swim in a safe, enclosed environment and still get to experience the Great Barrier Reef, as fish can swim inside the enclosure.
If you prefer a reef experience without getting wet, Sunlover offers both the semi-submersible and glass bottom boat tour, a marine touch tank and an underwater theatre to view the fish feeding. This is included in the cost.
A delicious chef prepared lunch is served at the pontoon and features fresh seafood, hot dishes, salads and fresh tropical fruits.
Before leaving the reef fish feeding will be conducted for your enjoyment from the back of the pontoon. You can view the feed from either the deck or the underwater observatory. This is a wonderful way to experience the unique creatures of the reef up close and personal.
The tour departs Cairns at 10am and arrives back in Cairns at 5:30pm.
