Flames of the Forest is a must-do for anyone interested in history, Aboriginal culture, the rainforest and great Australian food!
Journey to a hidden place…you are collected from your accommodation, and leave the highway down a winding road as you arrive to a magical setting in the rainforest. Experience the sights and sounds of the rainforest at night, the atmosphere only enhanced through the use of thousands of candles and flames. Dine beneath the ancient rainforest trees, beside a rushing mountain river, the flicker of flames on its surface a mirror to infinity.
And in this timeless setting relax with the warm glow of Australian hospitality and fabulous food and Australian wines before being treated to an intimate story telling experience from a local Aborigine whose ancestors once told stories to each other in this very place many thousands of years before.
This evening of theatre, tropical dining, authentic Aboriginal culture explored through story telling and music concludes with the chance to stroll by the river illuminated by hundreds of flame pots and you may find some interesting nocturnal wildlife!
And finally, before you depart, if you leave your mark in our handmade book of trees, one tree will be planted from that signature and you will have contributed to preserve local habitats, and these soul nurturing rainforests will last another million years…
Flames of the Forest is not a restaurant style experience – it offers a unique and unforgettable blend of spectacular rainforest setting, theatre, story telling, dining, socialising and meeting new people.
