Tandem Skydiving - Cairns

Paul's Parachuting is the original Tandem Skydiving Company in Cairns and prides itself with an impeccable safety record and over 10 years experience. No experience is necessary for Tandem Skydiving. Accommodation transfers are included.

Your Tandem Skydiving adventure begins with transfers from your accommodation to the Parachuting office in Cairns. You can choose from a 8:30am, 10:30am, 1:00pm or 3:00pm pick up. There you will meet your jumpmaster and receive the necessary training you will need to gain the most enjoyment and safety during your jump.

Then all aboard the bus for a 5 minute ride to the Airport. The aircraft flight is an excellent visual experience with incredible views of the rainforest and coast.

About 2000ft before your jump height, your jumpmaster will tighten up your harness. You’ll notice your heart rate accelerating but this is nothing compared to when the door opens. Your freefall depends on how high you go and your parachute will be activated by the jumpmaster at around 5000ft. The 14.000 ft will give you 60 exciting seconds of freefall!

From there it’s a leisurely fly around one of the most beautiful places in the world with the landing being made on grass at the landing area just on the southern outskirts of Cairns. On the way back relive the experience with your other comrades in the bus to the office where you can purchase t-shirts and other exciting stuff to remember your jump. Shortly thereafter you will be transferred back to your accommodation.

You should allow half a day for your jump but if you are pressed for time, please let us know and Paul's Parachuting will certainly try to accommodate you.

Jump Heights:

You can jump from 10,000, 'extreme' or become a 'legend' on your very first jump at 14,000 feet!!! with an adrenaline pumping 60 second freefall! Once the parachute is opened all jumps experience a 5 minute decent under parachute with spectacular views of Cairns, Islands and Mountains.

DVD & Pictures:

Optional freefall DVD and/or stills of your jump are available but MUST be pre-booked.

Hand Cam Video/DVD
This footage is from a camera mounted on the Tandem masters hand and wrist. It is taken with a wide angle lens so it is panoramic view and a great product. As the tandem master is attached to you once the parachute opens the video keeps rolling and you get your ride under canopy as well.

DVD and Photos
This is where a single skydiver jumps out with you and your tandem master. They fly around you and take video/DVD and still photographs using equipment attached to a helmet they are wearing on there head.

This is a great product as it allows you to see a whole other person in freefall in front of you and flying all around you.
