2 Day Option 2 - Reef Magic & Kuranda Package is designed for those who want to explore the reef and rainforest at a relaxed pace. 

These 2 daytrips can be done on any two days of your holiday in no particular order.

DAY ONE: REEF MAGIC

Visit Australia's latest outer barrier reef platform "MARINE WORLD", located at the eastern end of Moore Reef.

This is the 'Best Value Pontoon Operation in North Queensland'.  "Marine World" is a two level pontoon with upper sun deck.  "Marine World" is perfect for families with a children's swimming enclosure, sheltered seating area, fresh water showers, and a spacious deck area. 

Departs:

• Check in from 8:15am at the Reef Fleet Terminal.
• Daily at 9:00am from the Cairns Marlin Jetty returning at 5:00pm.
• Hotel Transfers are not included, however can be added at an additional fee

DAY TWO: SKYRAIL CABLEWAY

• Travel in a 6 person gondola cabin
• Panoramic views as you glide above the rainforest canopy on the amazing 7.5km journey
• Gondolas leave the station continuously; bookings are taken in 15 minute intervals
• 2 rainforest mid-stations:
  - Barron Falls: Enjoy spectacular views of the Barron Gorge, state-of-the-art Rainforest Interpretation Centre, lookouts and historical displays.
  - Red Peak: Complimentary guided boardwalk tours are available throughout the day.
• One-way Skyrail experience will take approx. 90 min. to complete
• Return experience will take approx. 2½ hours to complete
• Skyrail operates daily from 9am to 5.15pm with a last departure scheduled for 3.30pm

Your Skyrail experience will commence or conclude at either the Caravonica or Kuranda, depending on your direction of travel:

Caravonica Terminal:  Located just 15 minutes from Cairns and 50 minutes from Port Douglas and provides a convenient embarkation or disembarkation point and are conveniently serviced by regular coach transfer pick-ups. Self-drive passengers will also find Skyrail's location easily accessible with free car parking.

Kuranda Terminal:  Located a short walk from the famous village of Kuranda the ‘Village in the Rainforest’ has numerous attractions including a butterfly sanctuary, a colourful bird aviary, koala park, walking tracks and a diverse range of markets, shops, cafes and restaurants. Depending on your travelling time on Skyrail, we recommend allowing yourself two to three hours in Kuranda which will give you enough time to explore and have some lunch / refreshments.

TRAIN UPGRADE:

Kuranda Scenic Railway:
The famous Kuranda Scenic Railway was built over 100 years ago and winds its way through the tropical mountain ranges between Cairns and Kuranda.
The train departs at 8:30am and 9:30am from Cairns Central Station, 8:45am and 9:45am from Freshwater Station and 2pm and 3:30pm from Kuranda Station. Allow 1.5 hours for this journey.

Self Drive:

If you have your own vehicle, you will not require transfers from your accommodation. This package automatically includes a one-way transfer from Kuranda Scenic Railway’s Freshwater Connection Railway Station to Skyrail’s Caravonica Terminal.

We recommend you enjoy Skyrail up in the morning and the Scenic Railway back in the afternoon. You will find that there is plenty of parking at Skyrail, no wait for transfers to Freshwater station, a cafe and also a short transfer turnaround back to Skyrail when you arrive on the train in the afternoon.

Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park:
A cultural experience, located within walking distance of Skyrail’s Caravonica terminal. Tjapukai combines dance, history and legends to create a dynamic interpretation of 40,000 years of culture.

Rainforestation:
Located a short drive from Kuranda, Rainforestation will take you on a cruise through forest waterways on a World War II amphibious army duck, let you meet some of Australia’s favourite animals and enjoy traditional performances by the Pamagirri dance troupe.

Kuranda Wildlife Experience includes entry to the Kuranda Koala Gardens, Birdworld and the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary. You will have access to all three attractions at a great saving off the normal admission price! Alternatively, you can book entry only to each attraction.

Djabugay Tours:
The Djabugay Aboriginal Guided Tour at Barron Falls provides a fascinating insight into the Aboriginal history, language, culture, stories and traditions of the indigenous rainforest people through a personalised, small group [maximum 10 guests] on a 40 minute guided walking tour through the rainforest.
