Day One: Arrive into Cairns, check into Gilligans Backpacker Resort

Gilligans Backpacker Resort is "the Ritz of all hostels" as described by Lonely Planet.  Gilligans provides an excellent standard of accommodation, ideal for every type of traveller. Set in lush, tropical, landscaped gardens.

The Adventurous by Nature Package includes accommodation in an 8 bed dorm room, however it is possible to upgrade to a double en-suite rooms or downgrade to a larger dorm share.  All rooms are contemporary, air-conditioned and have private balconies.  Gilligans is located above the famous Rusty's Markets on Grafton St, surrounded by groovy shops, cafe's and within easy walking distance to the famous Cairns Swimming Lagoon precinct and the Marlin Marina where all boats depart to the Great Barrier Reef and Islands daily.  The airport is a 10 minute drive from here.  

Gilligan's Backpackers Hotel & Resort will provide you with a secure and entertaining 'home' for your stay in Cairns.

Day Two: Tully River Rafting

Your second day is spent tackling the Tully River. Voted No#1 rafting tour, it provides more than enough excitement to satisfy your thirst for adventure! Departing daily, travelling to the upper gorge of the Tully river in our air-conditioned, video equipped coach. The rescue 3 trained guides will offer you all tuition needed to enjoy your 5 hours of white water rafting.

Day Three: Bungy & Skydive
The next day you will jump out of a plane and jump off a 44 metre bungy tower all in one day!! A.J Hackett bungy provides the ultimate bungy experience in the worlds most natural playground situated 15 kms north of Cairns. Set in 100 acres and bordering world heritage rainforest this purpose built 50 metre tower spans a natural lake and showcases magnificent views.

As well as experiencing the challenge of the 'CLASSIC BUNGY' jump, there is now also a platform above the normal Jump Deck which has a Waterslide, High Divers Springboard and Ramps that welcome any toy with wheels. Mountain Bike jumps seem to be the most popular!!

The higher platform has expanded the Jump Menu to 16 which now includes such jumps as the Fruitbat, Clingon, Cliffhanger, Haggis, Pendulum, Tandem and Elevator to name a few....

After your freefall experience, you’ll enjoy 5-6 minutes of spirals and turns under canopy.

Day Five:  Free day to explore Cairns

Day Six:  Check out from the Gilligans Backpacker Resort, depart Cairns

Please Note: Fuel and reef levys are not included in the package cost and are an additional charge payable direct to the tour operators on the day.

• $30 Tully Rafting Pay on Board levy covers insurance charges, land management agency prescribed daily client fee, water release fees, transfer costs, GST and administration charges is payable on the day of travel for Rafting.
• $35 Australian Parachute Federation Membership including fuel levy for Skydiving
• $10 Bungy surcharge to defray the cost of public liability insurance & risk management for Bungy. 

The deposit is paid to secure your booking. The balance for your package (minus the levies) is due two weeks prior to your arrival.
