Day One: Arrive into Cairns, check into Floriana Guest House

Built by a musically gifted Maltese family in the late 1930's, Floriana is a very small family run Heritage listed Budget Guesthouse.

Floriana is perfect for travellers who enjoy a budget, boutique guesthouse.  Located only a 20 minute walk from the main restaurant precinct of the Cairns Esplanade and 25 minutes walk from the Reef Fleet Terminal.     

Floriana features an internal circular staircase leading to 4 studio rooms.  It is possible to upgrade to a Studio flat, please enquire for costings...

Step back in time.  There are no telephones in the rooms.   There is a pianola in the foyer and a dining table at the front of the building where you can enjoy a meal with a lovely vista. 

The pool area is very large with a raised Spa, Waterfall and deep pool with shallow section for people working on their tan.  There is plenty of outdoor seating and a B.B.Q. near the pool in the garden.

Day Two: Reef Experience Outer Barrier Reef Cruise

Reefs are chosen on the day subject to best ocean conditions and tides. 

Day Three: Tablelands Food and Wine Tour

Explore the Atherton Tablelands while enjoying the Food and Wine.  

The Food Trails Highlander is a Tasty sightseeing tour visiting our rich agricultural lands on the Tablelands.

You will visit both the wet and dry tropics, the tablelands towns of Mareeba, Tolga and Yungaburra. Tasting excellent commercial produce, and meeting local people, are all part of this unique and personalised tour.

European cheese and chocolate makers, with a passion for fine food produce new and traditional cheeses, plus hand made chocolates. You can view the cheese factory and stroll over to the shed where the cows are being milked.  Enjoy a Devonshire tea, cheese tastings and if you're lucky a bit of chocolate.

deBrueys Boutique Wines produce tropical fruit wines, ports and liquers.  Exotic tropical fruits such as Mangos, lychees, passionfruit, jaboticaba and native fruits produce a wide selection of wines.  You will be invited to sample Bob and Elaine de Brueys range and you may purchase at the cellar door.  Take some back to your hotel to enjoy with cheese or have it packed and sent direct to your home.

Hear all about the macadamia industry at Wondaree Macadamia Plantation.  Around Greg's farm and under the trees your informative tour explains how they grow and harvest this Australian bush nut. Tastings are provided for your enjoyment and Macadamias can be purchased direct from the farmer. 

Coffee Plantation Tour and Tasting.  Learn about different coffee roasts and indulge your taste buds with a cup of coffee made by Maria.  Bruno and Maria Maloberti are passionate about coffee and control their coffee from tree to cup in an organic classic italian style. 

This tour departs daily except Sunday.

There are 21 passenger seats on this tour. Keeping it small, means you will have a relaxed and personalised day.

WHAT TO BRING: Please wear comfortable casual clothes, and walking shoes. We also recommend you bring a shady hat, at any time of year, and a warm jacket between May and September.

Day Four, Five, Six and Seven:  Relax or explore our beautiful area and beaches

Day Eight: Time to say Goodbye.

Please Note: The Cheap & Charming Package includes accommodation and tours but does not include Airport Transfers or any meals besides breakfast & lunch included on the reef cruise and food provided on the Food Trails tour. You can start this package any day of the week.
