Day One: Arrive into Cairns, check into Sea Change Apartments

Sea Change Beachfront Apartments is the perfect beachside holiday option. All apartments offer stunning views out to the Coral Sea.

All apartments are comfortably furnished and have magnificent sea views. Apartments have two bathrooms, a state-of-the-art gourmet kitchen, large balconies and a laundry with washing machine and dryer. The main bedroom has a king size bed and adjoining marble bathroom with spa bath. There are sea views from the main bedroom as well as the kitchen and lounge.

The resort pool is very large. Thatched roofs cover the spa and BBQ area. Many Balinese style water features and huge pots of exotic plants create a lovely relaxed holiday environment.

Day Two: Ocean Freedom Premier Reef Cruise

Ocean Freedom is the first Great Barrier Reef tour to arrive at Upolu Cay, where you will have time to explore the sandy Cay and surrounding reef uninterrupted. Upolu Cay is a naturally formed coral cay protected by shallow waters, making it the perfect location from which to explore the reef!

Your day begins with a courtesy pickup from Sea Change.  Enjoy a Danish pastry, fruit, morning tea or coffee in the comfortable lounge followed by an introductory safety brief before kicking back and enjoying the one hour cruise to Upolu Cay.  For those who would like to scuba dive the paperwork and briefs are completed during the journey out, so when you arrive at The Great Barrier Reef you are ready to dive!

As the skipper navigates Luggers Pass, Upolu Cay and the Great Barrier Reef come into view.  Paradise!  Make fresh footprints in the beautiful coral sand, swim, snorkel and scuba dive in the turquoise waters.

Scuba Diving:
Ocean Freedom takes the safety of diving very seriously. The personalised crew specialises in first time divers - offering 2 divers to one instructor on your very first dive. Feel peace of mind that you are in safe hands!

For Certified Divers a free guide is offered to ensure you gain the maximum out of your experience. Be mesmerised by the renowned "Wonder Wall". Let the crew really show you the reef.

Snorkelling:
Snorkelling is a great way to experience the reef also. Friendly crew will assist snorkellers of all abilities to ensure everyone enjoys this great activity.

Adventure Drift Snorkel Tour:
For the more adventurous, a drift snorkel tour is included in your day.  Get in a dinghy to the edge of the wall and learn about the reef as you drift snorkel back to the boat under the guidance of your very capable crew.

Feast on a delicious tropical smorgasbord lunch while leisurely cruising to the second location of the day. The protected waters of the surrounding Upolu Reef offers numerous exciting sites for an afternoon of water activities. The reef abounds with turtles, parrot fish, wrasse and of course clown fish.

Following a full 6 hours on the Great Barrier Reef, top off your day with a tropical afternoon tea (fruit, cheese and cake).  Perfect end to a perfect day.  Cairns premier reef & island experience is a must-do!

Departs: Complimentary return transfers are included from Sea Change at around 7:15am.  Pickup time confirmed when booking.

The Luxury Beach Escape Package is designed for couples, families and groups who would like to experience the best of North Queensland and have some free time to relax in luxury beachfront surroundings. This package is available for up to 6 people, please enquire for rates. 

Please Note: The Luxury Beach Escape Package includes accommodation, a reef tour and complimentary car hire for 3 days (subject to availability).  It does not include any meals besides meals included on your tours. You can start this package any day of the week
