3 DAY TOUR PACKAGE - Option 9:  Tully River Rafting, Passions of Paradise Reef Cruise and Cape Tribulation Safari.

DAY 1:  Raging Thunder - Tully River Rafting

GET WET with a Full Day White Water Rafting adventure through the rainforest on the Mighty Tully River and EXPLORE the Rainforests of Cape Tribulation.  SWIM amongst the coral gardens and beautiful fish of the Great Barrier Reef

The Tully Gorge is 2 hours from Cairns.  Pick-up included from Cairns Accommodation Daily at 6:00am (returns approx 5:30pm)

  • Approximately 5 hours of white water rafting on Tully River
  • Guaranteed water levels all year round
  • All tuition, no experience necessary (minimal swimming ability required)
  • Safety equipment including life jacket, helmet and life jacket (allowing you to float along the river should you happen to fall out)
  • BBQ lunch beside the river
  • Tully Rafting levy

The Tully River is about 2.5 hours south of Cairns and is rated Grade 3 and 4 which means there are exciting rapids and a good chance you will be in the water at some stage during the day. With over 27 rapids on the river this is the longest Tully River rafting trip available.

Each raft holds a maximum of seven passengers and one river guide, who will guide you safely down your river adventure.

DAY 2:  Passions of Paradise - Sailing Reef Trip

Passions of Paradise visits two unique outer reef locations on the Great Barrier Reef.  

The crew at Passions are dedicated to providing a truly unique and personalised reef experience.

Thetford - Nolans Bommie, Moore - East Timor, Moore - West Timor, Moore - 5 Ways, Moore - Wildside, Pretty Patches, Breaking Patches - Long Bommie, Breaking Patches - Paradise Reef, Hastings Reef - 1770, Hastings Reef - Stepping Stones, Hastings Reef - Split Bommie and Norman Reef and so on...

All sites include stunning coral gardens, structures and fish.  Some are notable for swim-throughs while others have very shallow lagoons.  All reefs are different but you can be assured of having an enjoyable day with the best possible reef options offered on the day subject to tides and weather conditions. 

Certified scuba divers can experience depths of up to 25 meters along the edge, water clarity is good and the Outer Reef is host to many exciting fish species.

Introductory diving is safe, fun, easy and the best way to see the Great Barrier Reef.  You will be given a full on-deck briefing, shown how the equipment works and in small groups of no more than 4 divers, be led on a diving instructor controlled dive. 
A FREE "try before you dive" policy which means that you are welcome to join in the briefings, get into the water and use the apparatus for approximately 5 minutes before deciding to continue with the dive.

Certified Diving: Includes fully guided dive with all your equipment, including wetsuits and computers.

Prescription Masks and Lycra/wet suits are available on board.

Cairns & Northern Beaches Hotel Transfers can be arranged for an additional cost:   Most Hotels in Cairns City are close to the Reef Fleet Terminal and generally it is easy to walk. 

Underwater digital camera hire, T-shirts, assorted quality beers, wine and soft drinks.

Check-in Reef Fleet Terminal, Cairns at 7:30am for an 8am departure.
The Reef Fleet Terminal is located at 1 Spence St.
The trip returns into Cairns at 5pm.
What to Bring:

Bring, hat, sunscreen, bathing gear, sunglasses, towel, etc. as you would for travelling to the beach.

DAY 3:  Adventure Company Cape Trib & Daintree

Enjoy an unforgettable day of discovery with Adventure Company exploring the World Heritage Daintree National Park and Cape Tribulation where the Rainforest meets the Reef.

Transfers from Cairns and Northern Beaches (Trinity Beach, Palm Cove) at 7:00am returning at 6:30pm (times confirmed on booking)

Coastal Drive – Travel to Port Douglas on one of the most renowned scenic coastal roads in Australia. Have your camera ready for breath taking views.

Wildlife Habitat – 1 hour  to visit the award winning Rainforest Wildlife Habitat where you will venture through purpose built native habitats of some of Australia’s rare, endangered and beautiful native animals. You have a chance to have morning tea with the birds (optional extra), hand feed a Kangaroo and see a Koala doing what they do best…..sleeping!  If you visit Rainforest Habitat you will not have 1 hour free time in Port Douglas. 

Mossman Gorge - Enjoy a guided walk through this magnificent rainforest area taking in the boardwalk and waterholes.

Alexandra Lookout – The perfect location to view where the Daintree Rainforest, Daintree River and the Coral Sea merge into one spectacular panoramic reflection. Ideal spot for those post card photo opportunities.

Lunch Time – Only meters from Cape Tribulation Beach you will be treated to a Chef prepared lunch. Indulge in a set menu choice of local barramundi (fish), Steak and a Vegetarian option all served with a fresh garden salad & chips, daily baked bread finished off with a tropical fruit platter to share at your table.  Bring your towel & swimmers for a dip in the resort pool or in the ocean (marine stingers are present during the stinger season Oct to June).

Cape Tribulation Beach – Already there for the lunch break you now have free time for a walk along the full length of the magical Cape Tribulation Bay (takes 30min unguided) or simply kick back and relax under the fringing rainforest of the Daintree where the “Rainforest meets the Reef”!

Daintree River Wildlife Cruise – Your journey continues to the majestic Daintree River for a 1 hour Wildlife and Crocodile exploration. This is a rare location to see wildlife at play in their native habitat and retrieve knowledge and tales of the area from a local naturalist guide.

Rex Lookout – On the return trip back to Cairns, stop briefly at Rex’s Lookout. A popular spot for tourist’s to take scenic photos of the coast line and out to Green Island. It’s also a popular spot for dare devil hang gliders to enjoy the uplifting sea breeze.
