Day 1 - 3: Green Island Resort

Green Island Resort on the Great Barrier Reef is one of the most unique and memorable destinations in Tropical North Queensland.

Situated on the Great Barrier Reef, this ancient coral cay is home to over 120 species of native plants, colourful bird and marine life and beautiful coral gardens to explore.

With just 46 luxurious suites, you will discover an intimate haven. Suites are set in clusters under the rainforest canopy and adjoining central facilities via raised covered walkways. They are cleverly secluded from the remainder of the island and day visitor facilities.

Dining:
Emeralds Restaurant is Green Island's signature restaurant and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The Canopy Grill offers casual outdoor dining to enjoy your favourite burger or one of the extensive buffets. A barbeque buffet lunch is available from 11am until 2.30pm. Beach dining is also available. (weather dependent)

Getting There:
Green Island is just 27km, a 45 minute boat from Cairns. These transfers are complimentary for house guests and are confirmed at the time of booking.
Departures from Cairns are daily at 8.30am, 10.30am and 1.00pm.
Departures from Green Island are daily at 9.45am, 12.00pm, 2.30pm and 4.30pm.

Barrier Reef Adventure
Depart Green Island at 11:15am for your trip to the Outer Barrier Reef onboard Great Adventures luxury air-conditioned high-speed catamaran. The beauty of the Great Barrier Reef is yours to experience when you cruise from Greren Island to Great Adventures luxury 3 level pontoon located at Norman Reef.

The pontoon features undercover seating and tables where you can enjoy a sumptuous buffet lunch. Also for your pleasure is a sundeck, full bar facilities, a swimming enclosure for children, change rooms with fresh water showers and scuba diving facilities with a semi-submerged dive platform.

You will be able to snorkel and dive among the reef's spectacular coral gardens and diverse marine life. For those who prefer not to get their feet wet, see the reef from the semi-submersible coral viewing tour and the underwater observatory.

Scuba Doo It's the only place in Australia to cruise the reef in your own underwater scooter. Non-swimmers welcome. Tours depart every 25mins with professional guides.

Day 4 - 8: Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas

A stunning 70km coastal drive north of Cairns brings you to Port Douglas, a vibrant tropical village that combines top class resorts, restaurants and boutique shopping with world class golf courses and spa pampering.

Deluxe Garden and Lagoon View:
All 225 Deluxe Garden and Lagoon View rooms enjoy valet service and amenities. These rooms are generous in scale with a sitting area and are 41 square metres with magnificent marble bathroom with bath and shower. Bedding configuration can be a king or double/double beds. Lagoon view rooms are located on the second and third floor only.

Mirage Garden:
Mirage Garden rooms are 51 square metres and king-bedded with balcony and corner Jacuzzi Spa bath. 

Superior Lagoon:
Superior Lagoon rooms are guaranteed ground floor rooms looking over the lagoons that make the Sheraton Mirage Resort so famous. These rooms are either king bedded or double/double with bath and shower.

Premium Mirage:
These oversized 51 square metre executive rooms on the ground level, 2nd or 3rd levels, overlook the five acres of saltwater lagoons, featuring both private and/or exterior balconies, king size bed, Jacuzzi spa bath and an oversized bathroom.

Dining is a world of opportunity at the Sheraton Mirage. From the superb seafood buffet at Lagoons Restaurant to innovative dining and vintage wines at IL Pescatore, every dining experience is an event to savour. Getting There:
The Resort is located 67 km (1 hour) north of Cairns Airport. The Captain Cook Highway is a unique highway that winds it way along side the coast of the tropical seaside rainforest heading towards Port Douglas and Daintree. You have magnificent views over beautiful beaches and rainforest mountainsides.  We can arrange transfers at an additional cost or, you can hire a car for your Port Douglas stay.  

Explore:
The Port Douglas region offers the choice of rugged outdoor adventure and rainforest walks to lazy, pampered days by the pool and strolls along Four Mile Beach. From the lookout at Flagstaff Hill, the beautiful Four Mile Beach stretches out to the south. For retail therapy, theres everything from the casual Sunday markets to designer labels and art galleries.

Al fresco dining is a popular past time with many quality restaurants combining fresh produce and tropical fruits. The Rainforest Habitat showcases more than 180 species including rare tree kangaroos in four different environments - wetlands, grasslands, rainforest and woodlands. A host of watersports is available from Four Mile Beach which is patrolled and has a stinger enclosure during the stinger season.

Transfers from Cairns to Port Douglas can be organised, please enquire for rates.
