This package combines a stay at The Hotel Cairns, with a relaxing sail to the reef followed by a return Skyrail experience to Kuranda.

Day One: Arrive into Cairns, check into The Hotel Cairns

The Hotel Cairns offers travellers a true tropical experience with a contemporary ambience.

Located only one block from the famous Esplanade, and only a 10 minute walk to the marina, this property is shaded by towering palm trees and maintains a secure environment with excellent facilities.

Enjoy the beautifully appointed, airy Plantation Room with plantation shutters, ceiling fans and cool marble and terracotta floors.

The Plantation Bar & Grill has been named 'Cairns Restaurant of the Year 2007'  and also awarded for Best Ambience by the northern chapter of the Australian Culinary Federation.

Stroll to the nearby Esplanade for shopping and dining opportunities, or take a swim at the new lagoon pool.

Ocean Spirit Upolu Cay day trip offers two beautiful destinations. Oyster Reef is a shallow, clear reef abundant with marine life, offering both snorkellers and divers protected waters in which to experience the true wonders of the Great Barrier Reef. Be as active or relaxed as you like - try your first ever scuba dive, or for the certified diver, enjoy being guided by our qualified instructors on some of the best dive sites on the reef.

Your second destination is another stunner, Upolu Reef is just magical with Moray Eels to check out, Giant Clams, Turtles and if your really lucky prehaps a reef shark.

Never Scuba Dived before, thought you might like to try it but don't have a licence? Well here is your opportunity...

A FREE Introductory Dive is included in this trip. Let Ocean Spirit's experienced PADI instructors show you how easy Scuba diving can be. Discover the wonders of the underwater world with an introduction to basic diving skills followed by a tour of the Great Barrier Reef. After your first scuba dive you'll receive a PADI Certificate of Recognition & memories to last a lifetime.  

A chef prepared lunch is included in the day.

Day Three: Kuranda Train & Skyrail

Enjoy a leisurely start to the day before boarding your coach, which will transfer you from your accommodation to the delightful Freshwater Railway Station. You will board the famous historic Kuranda Scenic Rail at 9:45am for your experience through some of the oldest rainforest in the world to Kuranda.

The train journey will take you through 15 hand carved tunnels, across the giant bridge over Stony Creek, and will stop at Barron Gorge Observation Deck for photographs.

You will have 2-4 hours free time to purchase your lunch and explore Kuranda. At your scheduled time of either 1:45pm or 3:30pm, you will board the 'award winning' Skyrail for your return to Cairns.

There are two stops where you can enjoy a walk through the rainforest to spectacular lookouts and views, or visit the CSIRO Interpretive Centre at Barron Falls Station to discover more about the special plants and animals that inhabit this unique environment. 

Your rainforest experience ends at Caravonica Lakes where your coach is waiting to transfer you back to your accommodation at either 3:00pm or 4:40pm.

Day Four: Check out from The Hotel Cairns, End of Package
