Reef Teach

Updated: 15-Jul-2011

Reef Teach is a unique educational centre for one of the “Seven Natural Wonders of the World”, The Great Barrier Reef.
Reef Teach will have you massively excited about your adventure to come. You will be more informed and knowledgeable about the Great Barrier Reef so you can really understand and appreciate your experience.

We want you to be relaxed, comfortable, and well prepared so you can get the most out of your journey under the sea while taking this reef trip of a lifetime.

When you visit the Great Barrier Reef, you can see fish changing colour right in front of your eyes, corals changing colour, fish grooming other fish and loads more of unbelievable little miracles and relationships.

After visiting Reef Teach and experiencing a nightly live presentation, you really will understand this totally awesome world and discover so much more!!! We will dispel many of the 'Hollywood' induced fears about visiting the Great Barrier Reef, as well as make you aware of how to avoid some of the real hazards that are out there.

We believe that after the Reef Teach presentation, you will have a longer and more enjoyable underwater experience. You will see so much more and you will be thrilled at the ability to recognize the marine life. You will really remember your Great Barrier Reef education adventure for many years to come.

Reef Teach is a brilliantly entertaining evening. It is full of amazing facts, beautiful images, coral displays and many encounters of very peculiar marine specimens. It will enthrall, amaze and captivate you. You will leave this show raving about the funny stories and the weird and fascinating way the Great Barrier Reef works!!!

At Reef Teach, you will learn about Crown of Thorns, Coral Bleaching and other Great Barrier Reef threats. You will also learn how we can minimize these threats and prolong the reef life. The show will lead you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. You will hear and see heartbreaking facts about man's disregard for this wonderful paradise, but with practical solutions offered you will leave the show inspired and empowered to change our society for the better.

We urge all Great Barrier Reef visitors to follow the Eco-tourism guidelines and at Reef Teach we will help you to understand Eco-tourism in order to protect and respect the regional wildlife and ecosystems. Our saying is “take only pictures/memories and leave only bubbles”. If you follow these Eco-tourism rules, fun and unspoiled beauty awaits you, your family and friends now and for years to come.

Eco-tourism is ecologically sustainable tourism with a primary focus on experiencing natural areas that fosters environmental and cultural understanding, appreciation and conservation.

We want you to have the Greatest Barrier Reef educational experience possible and we assure you that it is our pleasure to educate you of this amazing journey that you are about to take. We look forward to welcoming you to Reef Teach, Cairns, Far North Queensland soon.
