Christmas Celebrations

Don’t feel like slaving away in the kitchen for Christmas lunch or dinner? This year avoid the stress and leave Christmas to the professionals. A variety of hotels and restaurants from Cairns to Port Douglas will be hosting Christmas celebrations suitable for the whole family. Check out the following list for your preferred region.  Here is an example of the Christmas events for 2012.  We expect similar events for 2013.  Please check back in November 2013 for the updated menu's and prices. 

Cairns

Rydges Tradewinds
From its beautiful Esplanade location, the festive spirit is destined to delight Christmas revellers of all ages with a bountiful combination of great food and attentive service.  Lunch will be served in Trinity Room between 12 noon and 3pm and party goers will receive a complete Christmas Day experience that includes a sumptuous seafood and Christmas carvery buffet, salad selection, hot dishes, dessert and a three hour standard beverage package.  Adults are $120 (18+yrs), Teen (13 - 17yrs) are $79.00 and Children (10 - 12yrs) $59.00.  Menu available 

Pullman Reef Hotel Casino
Give Santa a Hug when he pays a visit with fantastic presents for all children up to 13 years old!  Featuring a Jumping Castle & Face Painting and Live Music.  A festive day for everyone.  Spend Christmas day at the glamorous Reef Hotel Casino. Lunch will be held at Michaelmas Cay Ballroom and will offer appetizers, hot & cold dishes and desserts. Christmas lunch starts from $135 per adult, $99 for teenagers and $65 for children.  Price includes a 2.5 hour beverage package of standard beer, wine & soft drink.  Menu available online at www.reefcasino.com.au

Fitzroy Island Resort
Enjoy Christmas lunch out on the Great Barrier Reef! Fitzroy Island Resort will be offering full buffet lunch and dinner with hot and cold selections, salad bar and dessert. Buffet lunch and dinner will be $89.90 per person and $39.90 per child 4 - 14yrs. Ferry transfers are not included but you organise these via Sunlover or Sunkist for $65 per person return.  Rates for 2012 above to give indication.  Please enquire for menu selections

Green Island Resort
To celebrate Christmas and New Year, the Green Island chefs have designed some delightful menus to tempt you! For more details click here.  Prices are $180 per adult ($123 for inhouse adult), $85 per child (4 - 14yrs), ($54 for inhouse child), and include Buffet Christmas Day Lunch at Emeralds Restaurant, 2-hour beverage package, Return fast catamaran transfers with Great Adventures from Cairns, Choice of glass bottom boat tour OR snorkelling equipment. 

Pullman Cairns International (formally Sebel Cairns)
Celebrate this festive season in style with Pullman Cairns International.  Choose from a Christmas Lunch or Christmas Dinner.  Chistmas Lunch:  Enjoy a fantastic Christmas buffet lunch featuring wonderful seasonal favourites including succulent seafood, delectable salads, hot and cold selections and delicious, decadent desserts. Mercure Cairns Harbourside
Experience Christmas at the Mercure Cairns Harbourside.  A delicious seafood buffet menu which also includes a three hour beverage package of Australian beers, a selection of wines, soft drinks and juice. Lunch starts at 11:30am- 2:30pm.  Adults $105 per person, Children $85 (4-12 yrs).  Please enquire for Menu. 

Shangri-la Marina Cairns
Celebrate Christmas in style at the Shangri-la Marina Cairns.  Tempt your tastebuds on a sumptious menu, sure to please even the most discerning of diners.  Kids can be entertained with an Ice Cream bar and face painting.  Adults are $148, Teens (12-17yrs) - $90 p/p, Kids (5-11yrs) - 60 p/p, Babies under 4yrs are complimentary.  Please enquire for menu. 

Port Douglas

Thala Beach Lodge
Enjoy Christmas lunch at the stunning Thala Beach Lodge. This lodge located near Port Douglas, overlooking the coral sea. The luncheon will feature an array of seafood, hot & cold dishes and desserts. Prices are $145 per adult and $72.50 per child (under 12yrs), including a glass of Australian bubbly or soft drink on arrival. QT Port Douglas
Celebrate Christmas Day at the QT Port Douglas in the Bazaar Restaurant.  The menu features many delights to tempt your tastebuds.  Adults are $159, Teens (13 - 17yrs), $89, Child (10-12yrs), $69, Child, (4 - 9yrs), $49, Children under 3 are FREE.  Menu Available 

Sheraton Mirage
Christmas Day - enjoy buffet delights at Lagoons for Christmas Lunch and Dinner, crammed with all your Christmas favourites! Lunch runs 12:30 - 3:30pm, prices starting from $159 per adult, $79 per child. Menu Available.  Dinner runs from 6:30pm to 10:30pm, prices from $152 per adult, $76 per child.  Menu Available .  Rates for 2012 above to give indication.

Rendezvous Reef Resort
Celebrate the arrival of Chrismas wath a traditional buffet lunch and a glass of wine in straits Cafe with all the festive trimmings.  Bookings are essential and available to House guests only.  $90.00 per adult, $40.00 per child (2-12yrs) and $10 for under 2yrs.  Includes a complimentary drink upon arrival.  Please enquire for menu.
