Cairns River Tubing
Cairns Tubing Tours take guests on a half-day river tubing trip through rainforest areas near Cairns. Guests float on professional twin chamber tubes along sections of the Mulgrave River, Little Mulgrave River, or Behana Gorge, depending on conditions.
The tour includes hotel transfers, tubing equipment, safety supervision, and a small snack. Pick-up from Cairns and the Northern Beaches is available, and the experience is suitable for adults and children aged 5 years and over.

Itinerary
Pick-Up from Cairns Accommodation
Guests are picked up from selected accommodation in Cairns. Morning pick-up starts from 6:45am and afternoon pick-up starts from 1:35pm. Travel is by air-conditioned coach to the river area.
Northern Beaches Pickup (Morning Only)
Guests are picked up from Palm Cove & Trinity Beach. Morning pick-up starts from 6:45am
Travel to the River
The tour travels to one of the rainforest river locations used for tubing, which may include the Mulgrave River, Little Mulgrave River, or Behana Gorge. The Mulgrave River flows through a rainforest area below Bellenden Ker and Bartle Frere and runs year round.
Safety Briefing and Equipment Fitting
Before entering the water, guides provide a safety briefing and fit guests with tubing equipment. A minimum of two guides are on the water during the tour. Foaming Fury guides are certified with the International Rafting Federation and complete ongoing river rescue and first aid training.
River Tubing Experience
Guests spend approximately 90 minutes tubing on the river. The experience includes calm drifting sections, small rapids, and rainforest scenery. Guests float on professional twin chamber tubes while guides supervise the group for the full activity.
Snack and Return Transfer
A small snack is included during the tour. After tubing, guests return by coach to their accommodation in Cairns or the Northern Beaches. The full tour takes around 4 to 5 hours, depending on pick-up time and river conditions.

This tour is suitable for adults and children aged 5 years and over.
Children 5 to 11 years are charged at the child rate. Adults are 12 years and over.

The tour is partially accessible for some guests with mobility issues. Foldable wheelchairs can be accommodated.
Guests need enough upper body strength to carry their tube when required.

We chose tubing beacuse our 11 year old was just a bit too young for white water rafting. Our 16yo thought it was going to be lame. However all of us had a ball and really did not want the day to end. staff were friendly, relaxed and knowledgable which just added to the fun day out , no stress day.
The Mulgrave River is part of the catchment system for Queensland’s highest mountains, Bellenden Ker and Bartle Frere, which is also Australia’s highest rainfall area. This freshwater river flows year round and is bordered by rainforest and tropical vegetation, creating a lovely natural backdrop for your river tubing tour.
